Our Lazy Daze pretty much spent 2016 in the garage.
Sandy and I did take a 5 day trip to Disney World in February. A selfie.....
In July Dale, Dennis, Joe and I started a motorcycle trip that took us to Bellingham WA via ND, MT and ID. This took us four days.
When we got there we picked up Sandy and Barb at the airport. They spent the next seven days with us on the motorcycles.

Our goal was Hyder AK. so we could say we had driven our motorcycles to Alaska. It was too bad that we had rain for most of five out of the seven days.
After Hyder we headed to Jasper NP where the clouds were down to road level. But when we got to the town of Jasper the rain let up for a couple of hours and we we greeted by the official “Greeting Committee".
However this magnificent Elk made up for the snubbing we got from the Big Horn Sheep.
The next day, Friday, we drove south into Banff NP and did have some sunshine at Lake Louise before more rain descended on us as we continued on to Calgary.
Most of our views of Banff NP were obscured in clouds and rain.

On Saturday we had planned on driving back into Banff to see the sights, but it was rain, sleet and snow back in that direction, so instead we went to the Heritage Park Historical Village that someone at breakfast told us about.
What a pleasant surprise. A must if you ever get to the area, and plan on a full day there.
There is one building full of automotive memorabilia.
Hundreds of gas pumps.
Automobiles.
One-of-a kind trucks and more.
There is an old village area made up of a downtown, historic houses, an oil field, a railroad area and a working carnival. Again, a must see.
August found me on an annual fishing trip with my brother Glen, Harly, Russ and of course me. Notice that the Hasselberg brothers are more interested in food than picture taking.
Oh, and my other brother Joe.
This fall we had our screen porch replaced with a new one using all maintenance free materials. We also added a 10 x 12 foot deck.
You can not dig a hole in our area without finding these!!
Pictures of the screen porch and deck before railings were installed on the deck.
In September we made our annual fishing trip to Lake Chippawa in WI with friends Terry and Elaine. It was fun even though it rained most of the time. It seems we had rain almost all summer at home and everywhere we went!
In fact by the first week in December we have set a new moisture record for the year here in Minnesota.
Until next time,
Dave and Sandy

Always nice to hear what you two are up too. Looks like you have the fishing taken care of. Have a wonderful Christmas, be safe! Vern and Ruthie
