ANZA-BORREGO STATE PARK (PART 2)
FEB 18th - 21st
We were not able to get any site for the weekend, 17th, 18th and 19th, in Borrego Palms campground in the state park so we moved to the Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort in
town for the weekend. They have a hotel & campground with a restaurant on
site. They also have some vintage trailers that you can rent and stay in.
They were airstreams and Shastas in
different lengths for rent.
Saturday the 18th was an overcast drizzly day so first we did laundry and then
went for a drive to look at the steel sculptures. On our visit two years ago we
looked at the ones south of town. You can look at them here if you are
interested.

This trip we looked at the sculptures on the north side of town.
When we got started the clouds were hanging pretty low.
These two were each as big as
a car.
People putting up a grape vine
fence.
Harvesting the fruits of
their labor.
I tossed in this picture to
give a size comparison.
Baby sloth catching a ride.
I think papa sloth ate too
much fermented fruit.
This sea, or is that sand,
serpent stretches across the highway.
Is this Professor Grant?
(Jurassic Park). Sandy says Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think she just thinks Harrison Ford is just cuter.
I think this scary guy belongs at
“Burning Man”. www.burningman.com
The clouds were still hanging
low when we got back.
Until next time,
Dave and Sandy
